UNEB Releases 2025 Examination Timetables for PLE, UCE, and UACE

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the official timetables for the 2025 national examinations, including the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).

According to the schedule, the examinations will commence on Friday, October 10, 2025, with the briefing of UCE candidates. The PLE will follow on Friday, October 31, 2025, while the UACE will begin on November 7, 2025.

This will be the second time UNEB assesses UCE candidates under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Speaking during the release of the timetable, UNEB Executive Director Dan Odongo urged schools to ensure that every candidate accesses a copy of the timetable as part of their preparation.

“Heads of Centres can access the timetables from their school portals. We have printed enough copies for all candidates, and schools should make sure that every learner receives one. In addition, timetables should be pinned on school noticeboards for the benefit of parents and other stakeholders,” said Odongo.

He further assured that braille versions of both UCE and UACE timetables have been produced to cater to Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates with visual impairments.

Odongo also reminded candidates and schools to take the timetable seriously as it forms an essential part of the examination process.
