Michael Carrick set to be named caretaker manager until end of the season

According to Sky Sports, Michael Carrick is to take charge of Manchester United until the end of the season while the club conducts the search of a new head coach.

The club is expected to announce its decision within 48 hours. On Saturday, United will have a trip to Cardiff City. The team was expected to be prepared by Jose Mourinho, at least that's what some British sources reported on Monday.

However, according to some sources, a caretaker manager won't be either Michael Carrick or Kieran McKenna although both are expected to oversee training.
